Your Counsellor

Katey (she/her) lives with her husband, two children, and fur-children in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. She has worked with a variety of people; from young children to the elderly, different gender identities, cultures, and all with diverse circumstances. She believes healing is a journey, so personal insight and understanding is key.

Katey’s passions are women and children’s mental health and wellbeing, empowerment, and advocacy. Since finishing her certificate of human behaviour and counselling degree in 2017, she consistently works on her professional development. Katey completed a post Graduate Certificate in Gestalt Therapy in 2019 & became an accredited Crisis Supporter for Lifeline the same year. She works part-time for a wonderful not-for-profit perinatal counselling service and dedicates the rest of her professional time to SCQ.

Katey works with women who are in the perinatal period, with children up to 5 years and who are experiencing issues around family planning, conception, pregnancy and postpartum. I will be honoured to be a part of your journey.
